We now have our liquor license, and we are serving beer, wine, mead and cider.

Here in Vermont, just about all of us have swung an axe or a hatchet at one time or another. As we prepare for a long, cold winter, or chop some kindling for a campfire, we might have even thrown a few axes at a tree or a target. There is something obvious about the idea and we think you’ll agree that throwing axes for sport is a great time! As Urban Axe Throwing has developed over the last few years across Canada and United States cities, we knew Burlington needed a venue of its own. BurlyAxe looks forward to building a local community of axe throwers. Some who come for sport and competition, some for bonding, and teamwork. Axe throwing is kind of like darts…but with axes. Well, hatchets really. You don’t need to be a lumberjack. If you can swing a hammer you can throw an axe. Our professional axe throwing coaches will give you all the guidance and pointers you need to quickly progress safely to the point where you can consistently hit the target. Just show up a few minutes early to sign our waiver and be sure to wear close-toed shoes! We have 6 lanes and each lane has 2 targets. **STUDENT DISCOUNT THURSDAYS: use code burlyaxe101 for 25% off. Winooski Ave. Near La Di Da pizza , Pho Hong and the Old Spokes Home. we have a door on Archibald St. (Where our pine tree mural is) and you can also enter the building from the parking lot at 294 North winooski st.

Come join one of our axe throwing leagues! League nights are Mondays 6-8pm or Wednesdays 7-9pm. Each week you’ll be matched up with other league members for scored games for 8 weeks culminating in the league playoff tournament in the last week. What a great date idea! My fiancé and I stayed for the entire hour (the instructor even gave us extra time since it was a slow day.) This was so much fun! I was worried before that the axes would be too heavy and it would be too hard but they make it very accessible to us inexperienced axe throwers. They teach you how to do it and the axes aren't too heavy. I was able to hit the targets enough of the time that it was fun and I felt like I was getting better at it. Went to BurlyAxe for work celebration with a group of about 10 folks. We easily scheduled online, completed our waivers and we were able to start right on time to make the most of our night out. Our group had a lot of fun! Instructions were easy, coaching was ongoing, the atmosphere was fun, and allowed for laughter, conversation and photos. Highly recommend. This was spectacular. I honestly did not think that I would like this at all. Not that I didn't like the idea of throwing axes, but I thought they would be so rigid ruled and that people would be waiting to throw like bowling, but not really get a chance to throw as much as they would want .. I was completely wrong. I threw so many axes while I was there, we just loved it. It was so much fun and the atmosphere was nice and cool and calm. The drinks were pretty good as well! The people that work there were fantastic. They treated us like they wanted us to come back. They were also really good at demonstrating how to throw properly. I'd highly recommend this place.

Wife and I went to Burley Axe on a recent getaway to Burlington. My wife had been pleading with me to try axe throwing despite neither of us doing anything like it before. Not only did we have a ball, it was the highlight of our trip! We preregistered on the website for a one hour evening time slot. Upon arrival we told our instructor (Olivia) it was our first time. Her comforting words and positive demeanor immediately put us at ease. She gave us as much instruction as we requested and after 15 minutes, we told her we were good to be on our own.
